The old hero

Was taken out of dreamland a few days ago by my father's loud conversation. The details of the conversation is sensored by the board of censorship and therefore could not be featured in this blog.Wa lao, i did not know that he has such a big vocabulary of hokkien explicits. I was like thinking fuck lah stop scolding vulgarities. I need my beauty sleep. So here's wat happened, he was queing up for food at a hawker center deep at night. The line was damn bloody long, he was losing his patience. About about 1 hour it was finally his turn, then a big gangster proceeded to the front of the queue. Intimidated by his presence, the stall owner took his order. Doing what a normal person would do, he voiced out his displeasure to the stall owner. The big bad gangster heard that, doing what a big bad gangster would do, he asked him to settle the thing outside. Then the old hero, sensing that a fight was coming, he began to search the coffee shop for an equaliser a.k.a. a weapon. While that guy waited outside. He also phoned his friends nearby at tanjong pagar. He grew up in a gang filled neighbourhood, thus it is normal for him to have a few useful friends here and there. They came in 7 cars shortly after the call, they wanted to take the fight to the gangster but he somehow got away.

Moral of the story: Do not mess around with people, you simply can't judge a book by its cover. You never know that he has a strong backing behind. There was a case where another of my father's friend also a taxi driver called a group to smash up a durian stall.

To my father:I know you're trying to be brave and trying to set a good example for your children. But u got to be a man, do the right thing, that is to take the man one on one. Or just do wat a real man does, shut up and do not take up the fight. Life is very precious and i do not want to lose my 4th relative this year.
